About Post- Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECE BOARD), Bihar Government has released the prospectus for Industrial Training Institute Competitive Admission Test-2026 (ITICAT-2026) for admission to various vocational trades in Government ITIs (General ITIs and Women ITIs) across Bihar for sessions 2026-27 and 2026-28. A total of approximately 33,108 seats are available across 114+ Government ITIs spread across all 38 districts of Bihar. Eligible Indian nationals fulfilling the residential criteria as per para 4.2 of the prospectus can apply online at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in from 16-03-2026 to 14-04-2026.

  • For ITI Sector Trades : Class 10th Passed OR Appearing (2026) with Mathematics and Science as separate subjects from Bihar Vidyalaya Pariksha Samiti or equivalent recognized Board /Institution.
  • For Non-Apprenticeship Trades : Class 10th Passed OR Appearing is required. Science with Math separately NOT mandatory.

How To Fill Bihar ITICAT-2026 Online Form

  1. Visit the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and click on the “Online Portal of I.T.I.C.A.T.-2026” link.
  2. Step-1 (Registration) : Click “New Registration” button, fill all required details and verify your Mobile No. and Email via OTP. Note down your Registration Number and Password safely.
  3. Step-2 (Multi-Step Application Form) : Login using Registration Number and Password. Fill Personal Information, Contact Details, Educational Information and upload your Photo (3.5×4.5 cm with Placard) and Signature.
  4. Step-3 (Preview and Final Submit) : Review all filled information carefully. After verifying, accept the Declaration and click “Final Submit and Proceed to Payment”.
  5. Step-4 (Fee Payment) : Pay the examination fee via Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking / UPI. Last date for fee payment is 15-04-2026 (11:59 PM).
  6. Step-5 (Download Confirmation Page) : After successful fee payment, download and print the Confirmation Page. Keep it safe for future use at counselling.
  7. Online editing of application form is allowed from 16-04-2026 to 17-04-2026 only.

Answer: For ITI sector trades, candidates must have passed or be appearing in Matric (Class 10th) with Mathematics and Science as separate subjects. For non-apprenticeship trades, only Matric pass /appearing is required. Candidates appearing in Matric 2026 are also eligible to apply.

Q6. What is the exam pattern for Bihar ITI CAT 2026?
Answer: The written exam has 150 objective MCQ questions for 300 marks in 2 hours 15 minutes. There are 3 sections: Mathematics (50Q /100M), General Science (50Q /100M) and General Knowledge (50Q /100M). There is no negative marking. Each correct answer carries 2 marks.
